We have arrived at the final weekend of August. Everyone is thinking and asking about where did the summer go? School started for many students this past week and now it’s time to start thinking about the fall.
As we think about this time of year in the parish, we are certainly in a much better place than we were a year ago! Last year there was so much construction going on as we tried to repair and rebuild our buildings and complex after the tornado. This year is a little different. It’s been a busy summer for us as we were able to take care of all the things we couldn’t get to in 2024. I am pleased with how our buildings and campus look. Thanks for your patience, prayers and support during the months that followed the recovery from the tornado!
Next weekend is our annual parish picnic! Everyone is welcome to join us for this annual event. As usual, it will be held in the Stanley Centre and in the parish grounds area surrounding Stanley. There will be free food, balloons, magic tricks and a time for our parish to come together. There will also be some booths to learn more about the various groups and activities we have at the parish and opportunities to volunteer for activities. I would love to see you there! The doors open right after the 11 AM Mass concludes (around noon).
Please check the bulletin as our fall activities and classes start up over the next few weeks (and yes, that means donuts after the morning Masses on Sundays, too).
Monday, September 1st is Labor Day. Please join us for daily Mass. Our offices will be closed so that our staff can enjoy some time with family and friends and the offices will re-open on Tuesday.
