As a Church, we pray for one another that the Lord continues to bless, guide, strengthen, and console us. We can pray in a variety of ways for the many intentions that we have. One incredibly beautiful and ancient way we can pray for someone is to have a Mass offered for that person. Mass represents the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross to us (CCC 1366) and so possesses a power that our personal prayers do not. When a priest celebrates Mass, he has three intentions: First, to offer the Mass reverently and validly in accord with the norms of the Church for the glory of God. Second, to offer the Mass in union with and for the good of the whole Church spread throughout the world. Third, to offer the Mass for a particular intention, such as the repose of the soul of someone who has died.

It is a holy and devout practice to have Masses offered for a loved one, living or deceased. Masses may be offered on any day, but many offer them on a birthday, anniversary, or for a special need.

Stipend information

​Please know that payment is not required, but it is appreciated. Our priests do not take the money for the Mass itself, but for the purpose of supplying the things necessary for Mass (hosts, wine, etc.) as well as for the support of the whole parish community. The recommended stipend per Mass is $10.00.

How does it work? 

• Check the Mass Intention calendar below to see if the Mass date/time you would like to request is available. Any date/time that says "OPEN" can be requested. Due to the high volume of Mass Intention requests we receive, the calendar may not be completely up to date, so "OPEN" dates are not guaranteed until confirmed with the parish office staff.
  

• Click the "Request a Mass Intention" button below to fill out our online "Mass Intention Request Form" with all requested information and submit to the parish. Parish staff will return your email within 48 business hours to confirm Mass date/time availability.

• If you are able, we request a $10 donation for every Mass Intention. Donations may be paid online through our online giving portal, by dropping off cash or check to the parish office, by mailing cash or check to the parish office, or by dropping the payment in the front office drop box (please note "Mass Intention" in the memo line if placed in the drop box).
