It’s August. Where have the weeks of summer gone? Of course, with all of the storms and everything that has happened this year, we have had plenty of water and all of the weeds (and everything else) have grown pretty fast. We give a special thanks to our St. Catherine Knights of Columbus volunteers who have been tackling a few of the flower gardens, the west side of the church, and the islands this summer. We appreciate your help keeping things looking as nice as they can around here, especially after weathering a tornado in the spring! We have had a lot of things to keep track of this summer and I’m still picking shingles and insulation out of the lawn and the bushes!
As we begin this August, and look ahead at the calendar, remember that there is a Holy Day of Obligation this month: The Solemnity of the Assumption on August 15th. We will have a similar Mass schedule to what we had in the past for the vigil Mass on the 14th and Masses on the 15th. Please check next week’s bulletin for times.
Of course, with it now being the first week of August, it’s time to start thinking about registration for our youth who are in Faith Formation classes this coming year. Please check out our website to register your children for classes.
