“St. Maria Faustyna Kowalska was a Polish nun who claimed to have had a large number of mystical experiences in the 1930s. Themission ofSt. Faustina consists of three tasks:
Reminding the world of the truth of our faith revealed in the Holy Scripture about the merciful love of God towards every human being.
Asking for God's mercy for the whole world and particularly for sinners, among others through the practice of new forms of devotion to the Divine Mercy presented by the Lord Jesus, such as: the veneration of the image of the Divine Mercy with the inscription: "Jesus, I trust in you"; celebrating the feast of the Divine Mercy on the first Sunday after Easter; praying the chaplet to the Divine Mercy; and praying at the Hour of Mercy (3 pm).
Initiating the apostolic movement of the Divine Mercy, whose task is to proclaim and ask for God's mercy for the world and to strive for Christian perfection.”
Divine Mercy Sunday will be celebrated next Sunday, April 27th. Please join us in praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet in the main church at 10:30 AM on Divine Mercy Sunday.
