Thanks to everyone who supported the Pierogi dinner last month, Jad and Paige Itawi for organizing and leading this event. Thanks also to Knight of the Month, Fr. Ben. We had another successful Michigan Citizens with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (aka Tootsie Roll) fundraiser.
Our Blessed Mother has many titles and ways that we honor her. She has brought peace, physical healing for the sick, warned of wars if the world did not repent from their ways, and appeared to the faithful in many countries always at a time when the world needed to hear her special message. Her message is always the same: we need to pray (especially the Rosary), and we need to give our hearts to her Son and change our ways. She is truly the intercessor we need. I urge you to take some time this month to set aside some time for prayer and to honor our Lady. For she will always be our help and our guide.
Welcome to our occasional series from our Parish Nurse Ministry! These articles will provide snippets of useful information for your physical and mental health and wellness.
Did you know that May is traditionally dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary? There is evidence of an association between Mary and the month of May dating back to medieval times
Respect Life Ministry would like to help honor mothers on May 1 after the 11:00 am Mass. Weather permitting, we will gather outside in the Mary Garden for a special prayer led by Father Ben. Flowers will be available before and after Mass for family members to write a prayer intention on an attached tag.
We all make mistakes. We all have hurt others or done things that we regret. Even though we may say we are sorry to the person we hurt, it often doesn’t seem like we have done enough. Yet, with God’s mercy, we are shown the Divine aspect of mercy.
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Fr. Michael Boyle. He was the founder of the computer software that our church and so many Catholic churches use.
On behalf of the parish, we would like to thank all our volunteers who so willingly giving of their time. As the church is in the process of opening up fully, we will need more help to fill the different ministries. If you would like to help in any capacity, please call our office and we can direct you to what fits your time and talent.
We are in the beginning stages of seeking help for this summer’s vacation bible school. We are also putting the need for help with faith formation classes in the fall. If you have a passion for our future, please call Karen Galloway at 327-0861.
